Our office serves as a major referral center for patients whose pregnancies may be complicated by maternal medical comorbidities and/or fetal complications. We provide genetic screening and counseling, routine fetal anatomy ultrasounds, fetal echocardiography, antenatal testing, chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, and cervical cerclage. For expectant mothers, we provide preconception counseling and both general and high-risk obstetrical care. Throughout your pregnancy, you will receive guidance and care that prioritizes you and your baby’s health. Dr. Jacques Samson is board-certified in both obstetrics & gynecology and maternal fetal medicine. He helps expectant mothers navigate complex pregnancies with services that include ultrasounds of the fetus, chorionic villus sampling, amniocentesis, amnioreduction, fetal shunts, cerclage, and consultation for maternal and fetal comorbidities. Fluent in English, Spanish and French, Dr. Samson joined Baptist Medical Group in 2021.
Dr. Danielle Tate is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. Her areas of expertise in pregnancy include HIV, Diabetes, quality improvement, perinatal mood disorders, and hypertensive disorders. Dr. Tate enjoys training the next generation of healthcare providers and has had the opportunity to teach quality improvement through simulation training both at the national and international level. She has also co-authored a book on simulation training in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Shannon Goines joined Baptist Maternal Fetal Medicine following graduation from the University of Memphis in 2022. She enjoys the opportunity to develop a personal connection with patients, while providing the specialized care that complex pregnancies require.
